ABOUT
Taking photographs has always been a passion of mine since having my
first camera at the age of 16, a Kodak Ectra 52 Electronic 110 which used
a film cartridge, I was hooked on the creative art of photography.
A few years later I purchased my first SLR 35mm film camera, the Canon AE-1
including a 50mm lens, a second hand purchase from a local camera shop.
My next 35mm film camera was the Canon EOS 1000, I had alot of fun with
these cameras, which I still own but sadly are worse for wear.
My first step into the Digital world was the Canon EOS 500D a 15.1 megapixel
camera which came with a 18-55mm kit lens I also added a 35-80mm and a
75-300mm zoom lens, for me this was a game changer, unlike film cameras
where you take the photographs until the end of the film spool
then take the film to the shop to be processed not knowing how many are good,
to actually take a photograph and then look at it on an LCD screen on the back
of my camera was amazing, if I didn’t like the shot delete and take it again.
It is so much more convenient, saves time and is more cost effective.
My 500D has recently been converted to an infrared camera.
